im seeing a widespread trend of white people (especially kinnies) hcing coc as races that they are not. you have no experience with the culture and have no first-hand idea of the hardships / oppression / issues faced by that race, so it is in no way your place to completely erase the established heritage just to seek belonging as a “good white” among actual poc. headcanons formed solely through popular stereotypes and visual appeal are exploitative and just hopping on something (rightfully) begun by poc who are tired of not seeing themselves represented in media. good intentions do not erase bad execution, and you are in no way better than any other white person just because you threw a couple of races you know nothing about together and called it a day.
